Intended for use in external aircraft antennas to limit the starting of corona discharge in order to reduce radio interference of precipitation static noise; it consists of a 50-mil copper-clad steel wire conductor, insulated by a 66.5-mil sheath of brown-pigmented polyester with outstanding electrical characteristics; ths wire will withstand external corona voltages up to 180 kv without breakdown; it also supports rf line voltages up to 3000 volts at 60 cps without corona onse; the wire is manufatured in accordance with mil-w-6370c, where applicable
