Special Features
The battlefield effects simulator (bes) omega 60/b2 is a training device which ignites pyrotechnic cartridges on command. It can be installed at either stationary range positions in conjunction with a target mechanism, mounted on moving target platforms, mounted in uo environments applications. When used in conjunction with the hostile fire cartridge it produces a flash/bang/smoke signature which simlates large caliber weapon fire. When used in conjunction with the white star cartridge it produces the flash/bang/stars simulating impact of a round on an armor target which produce a variety of battlefield cuing effects. It can be used in both day and night range exercises for thermal/visual/acoustic target recognition in combination with erets, ngats, and uo systems and numerous other training devices or systems.

  Identification Codes

HMIC: Hazardous Material Indicator Code. Identifies a hazardous item.

PMIC: Precious Metal Indicator Code. Identifies items that have precious metals as part of their content. precious metals are those metals generally considered to be uncommon, highly valuable, and relatively superior in certain properties such as resistance to corrosion and electrical conductivity.

ESD: Electrostatic Discharge. Indicates if an item is susceptible to electrostatic discharge or electromagnetic interference damage. electrostatic discharge damage occurs when an accumulation of static electricity generated by the relative motion or separation of materials is released to another item by direct contact. electromagnetic interference damage occurs when an item comes into proximity with an electrostatic or magnetic field.

ENAC: Enviromental Attribute Code. Identifies items with environmentally preferred characteristics.

CRITL: Criticality Indicator Code. Indicates an item is technically critical by tolerance, fit, application, nuclear hardness properties, or other characteristics.
