Chest seal dressing; twin pack; 3-channel pressure relief vents; two chest seals for the treatment of both entry/exit or multiple penetrating injuries; 3-vent channels prevent airflow into the chest cavity during inspiration while allowing air to escape through the vent channels during exhalation; vent channels allow blood to escape and provides a backup fail-safe system even if two of the three channels become obstructed, the vent will remain fully operational; large red-tip tab for single step, peel-and-apply application that allows for the burping of the wound if necessary; foil package with red-tip tear notches; perforated packaging allowing rescuers to open only one dressing at a time as needed; packaged folded: h 7.5 in by w 4.5 in by d 0.25 in; unfolded: l 7.5 in by w 9 in by d 0.13 in; chest seal size when deployed: h 6 in by w 6 in; weight, 2.5 oz

A lightweight, unbreakable, self-contained item with adhesive. It is designed for managing open chest wounds or other injuries that could comprise the pleural space of the chest cavity. In addition, it is used to prevent a tension pneumothorax and/or reinflate a collapsed lung without invasive procedures. This item can be used with needle thoracentesis and can be stored in any emergency kit or bag or for aero-medical transport. May include a one-way valve which lets air escape from the pleural space without allowing air to enter.
