Qvalve, linear, directional control and solenoid cutoff: electrical characteristics; pull-in 14 vdc, holding 8 vdc, current 1.57 amps; fuels: vv-f-800, jp-4, jp-5; pressures: 1200 psi operating, 1800 psi proof and 3000 psi burst
A manually or power operated valve having three or more ports. The direction of the flow through the various ports is controlled by either one or more reciprocating slide(s) or spool(s) with recess areas which mate with ports in an integral or replaceable ported sleeve, or one or more poppet(s). It is designed to change the direction of fluid flow from one valve port to another. An off (no flow) position is not a flow pattern. The valve is designed to actuate various components of a fluid system. A power operated valve may have a manual override. For items which stop, start, or change the flow of fluid, see: valve, solenoid. Excludes valve, plug. See also servovalve, hydraulic; body section, working, linear directional control valve; and valve assembly.
