An instrument utilizing a magnetic needle and a graduated dial to determine direction in relation to the magnetic poles. Operation of the clinometer arm is by a finger lever on the rear of the case. While sighting the instrument, or holding it in contact with a surface, the lever is revolved until the image of a centered bubble is seen reflected in the mirror.
