A finish coat material composed of a base compound and an accelerator. The base material consists of an epoxy resin which is a reaction product of epichlorohydrin. The activator is normally a polyamide, polyamine, or similar compound. Usually, for colored epoxy finishes, only the base material contains pigment or dye, but both base and activator may be colored.
