Bhgm 57 model is manual pushbutton reset; when coil is energized, electromagnetic repulsion causes display ball to move & latch to set color which is white; with power removed set indication will be maintained; once reset button is depressed, sheild around reset magnet is separated allowing magnetic flux from reset magnet to flow into indicator circuit; since polarity of flux is opposite that of "set" condition, its display ball spins to "reset" color which is black; operates with a 50 millisec pulse length; display status is retained after pulse disappears, until reset
An electrically activated item specifically designed to indicate the occurrence of a malfunction in a component of an electronic set, central or system. It may indicate the malfunction by a pop-out button (e.G. Ground fault interrupt outlets) or color change by emitted light or displayed in a window. The indicator may utilize a "push to test" button.
