Polysorb coated, braided synthetic absorbable sutures are composed of lactomer glycolide/lactide copolymer for use in soft tissue approximation or ligation and ophthalmic surgery, but not in cardiovascular or neural tissue. Should not be used where estended approximation of tissue is required. Sutures are approximately 140% of usp and ep knot strength initially, approximately 80% at two weeks and approximately 30% at three weeks post-implant. Absorption of sutures is essentially complete between the 56th and 70th day. Usp sz 2-0, 3 metric, length: 30, color: violet, 36/box, reverse cutting 3/8 circle, 24mm, c-14
