Heat treated glass
A transparent item consisting of two or more pieces of glass, with straight parallel surfaces bonded together by an interlay of transparent plastic to prevent fragmentation or splintering if broken. It may be heat strengthened and/or tinted and is generally used where safety glazing characteristics are required, such as airplane windows, explosive hazards and furniture shielding.
