Nsn is used to purchase a of 24 containers and up; -90+30 um (-170 mesh +30um); rb 96 hardness; texture/finish as-sprayed medium, ground very good; coarse grade of lime-stablized zirconium oxide.Produces coatings for use only where specification must meet either usn specification os 10604 (type i) or pwa 1312 and cpw 210.Primarily used for thermal barrier coatings.Recommended for combustion applications.Abrasive wear resistant up to 1650 degrees (f).Coatings resist wetting and corrosive effects of molten metal.Applications include diesel engine pistons, valves, cylinder heads and coatings for casting molds and troughs
