The prime cut exothermic cutting rod is comprised of a seamless copper coated steel tub (which serves as the outer casing) containing alloy fuel wires. The interior wires are arranged in a circular pattern with a clear center oxygen path. The wires are retained within the tube by circular crimps. The rod ends are machined to a smooth surface to attain a tight seal within the torch and ensure longevity of the neoprene collet washer.
