Adapter shall be a filter/surge suppressor to perform emi and surge protection on telephone signals. The filter/suppressor shall operate with normal switched telephone signal levels. It must pass the ac ring voltage of approximately 170 vac as well as audio up to 4khz. There shall be 4 pins on each filter. All 4 pins shall be filtered and protected for surge. Surge protection shall be shunted to case ground. Current rating - load current 0.5 amperes per pin; operating voltage - 200 vac; dc resistance - 0.2 ohms or less.
